Factors Affecting Small and Micro Enterprise Performance with the Mediating Effect of Government Support: Evidence from the Amhara Region Ethiopia

This paper aims to examine Factors Affecting Small and Micro Enterprise Performance with the Mediating Effect of Government Support; Evidence from Amhara Region Ethiopia. study used both qualitative quantitative research methodology. The proposed model a Structural equation model, growth path modeling analysis, correlation matrix. also primary secondary data sources. employed 384 determined entrepreneur leader employee respondents through purposive sampling techniques simple random estimate required clusters. findings show that mediating role government support affects independent variables by 0.971 *** enterprise performance. Moreover, competence, 0.841 ***, microfinance, =0.714 **, infrastructure, 0.861 ** training 0.831 have positive significant impact on Microfinance are major factors influence enterprises’ performance next support. Therefore, micro besides supporting gaps in due lack long-term loans, access lease machines, unfair interest rates, production selling place, shortage defining SMEs, structural limitations. To solve currently existing limitations, regional should take policy measures supply loan financing, fair rate, working places cluster management approach, re-define restructure SMEs strategy. suggests executives, policymakers, microfinance use for based recommendation.
